Biography
Ahmed Ismail, an Oilfield Operations Specialist at the EERC, focuses on oil and gas field activities such as well drilling, logging, coring, and production; enhanced oil recovery (EOR); carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS); saltwater disposal (SWD); and facilities and well completion for both conventional and unconventional fields. Ismail holds an M.Eng. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota and an M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering and B.S. degree in Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt.
Ismail’s principal areas of interest include operations optimization, oil field chemistry, CCUS, HSE (health, safety, and environment), carbon footprint reduction, geothermal wells, and machine-learning applications. Ismail is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the International Association of Drilling Contractors.
