Biography
Dr. Amber Johnson serves as the Assistant Program Director for the Nurse Anesthesia program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999 and a Master of Science with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia in 2006, both from the University of North Dakota (UND). In December 2018, Dr. Johnson completed her Doctorate in Teaching and Learning, with an emphasis in Higher Education also at UND.
From 2006 to 2014 Dr. Johnson practiced clinical anesthesia in Grand Rapids, MN. In 2006, she established her own anesthesia business, providing services to rural communities in Minnesota and North Dakota. Dr. Johnson joined the UND Nurse Anesthesia Program in August 2013. In her current role, she provides instruction throughout the Nurse Anesthesia curriculum and oversees the clinical components of the program.
