Biography
Personal Statement
Andrea holds a professional certification in occupational therapy and is licensed as an occupational therapist in the states of Wyoming and North Dakota. Andrea has served the profession of occupational therapy as a clinician, educator, and lifelong learner – utilizing evidence-based practice as a guiding tool for implementation of the therapeutic process to best meet stakeholders’ needs. With a rich experience of gathering information about clients and analyzing their valued occupations Andrea has determined an appropriate course of therapy that is purposeful and occupation-based for clients. This skill set fits well with Andrea’s role as an occupational therapist in academia to meet students’ needs. Active learning capabilities and professional background will be capitalized upon to fulfill the needs of establishing and coordinating sound learning experiences for students.
