Biography
Dr. Chantsalmaa Dalkhaa is a Principal Reservoir Engineer on the Reservoir Engineering team at the EERC where she supervises reservoir engineers, manages and oversees projects, contributes to research proposal writing and preparation, and conducts technical and research work that includes developing and calibrating geologic models of the subsurface, running dynamic and reactive transport simulations to evaluate enhanced oil recovery (EOR) performance of oil fields, CO2 storage performance, Hydrogen storage performance, evaluating production performance of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, assessing refracturing potential in the Bakken petroleum system, and supporitng the development of Class VI well permit applications. She holds Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. She did her postdoctoral research at the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and the Geoscience Department at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Dalkhaa’s principal areas of interest and expertise include reservoir engineering, geochemistry, and reservoir simulation of various EOR techniques including rich gas, CO2, and surfactant, CO2 storage, Hydrogen Storage, unconventional reservoirs, and Class VI permit applications. In addition, she has authored and coauthored several professional publications.
