Biography
Habib Ouadi is an Oilfield Operations Specialist at the EERC, where his work focuses on oil and gas field activities such as well drilling, logging, coring, and production; enhanced oil recovery (EOR); carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS); saltwater disposal (SWD); geothermal extraction; and facilities and well completion for both conventional and unconventional fields. Mr. Ouadi is a Ph.D. candidate in Energy and Petroleum Engineering, at the University of North Dakota. He holds an M.Eng. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota and an M.S. and a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Boumerdes, Faculty of Hydrocarbons, Algeria.
Mr. Ouadi’s principal areas of interest and expertise include petroleum industry operations and support, specifically well stimulation, energy, and hydrogen storage in salt caverns, and CO2 EOR and storage; enhancing coordination between the energy industry and environmental efforts through improved research, practice, and understanding of advanced energy technologies; machine learning applications; preparing technical reports, conference papers, peer-reviewed journal articles, and outreach materials; developing proposals; and communicating technical results to clients, stakeholders, the public, and the scientific community. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the SPE Student Development Committee (2023-2026). Habib was the president of SEG University of Boumerdes (2018-2019), Membership chairperson at the SPE University of North Dakota (2021-2022), and Vice President of IADC University of North Dakota (2021-2022). Mr. Ouadi has authored and co-authored more than 40 research publications.
