Biography
Jason Evans is an Assistant Professor of Aviation concentrated on courses preparing students for careers within the commercial aviation industry. He holds Airline Transport Pilot (DC-10, LR Jet, MU-300, BE-400 type ratings) and Certified Flight Instructor-Multi-Engine Instrument Airplane certificates.
Jason is originally from Hartford, Ohio and began his aviation career with the US Air Force in 2002 after graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. After graduating from USAF Pilot Training in 2003, Jason served as a mobility pilot with assignments flying the C-21A Learjet (Learjet 35), KC-10A Extender (DC-10) and C-17A Globemaster III. He retired with 20 years of USAF service in 2022 after completing a three year assignment as the Professor of Aerospace Studies (AFROTC) at UND and NDSU. He is an AF Command Pilot with more than 4,400 flying hours, including over 1,400 combat and 1,100 instructor hours.
