Biography
Jin Zhao is a Reservoir Engineer at the EERC, where she develops reservoir simulation models for rich gas enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in the Bakken Formation and monitors injection/production data from the field. She processes both field and simulation data for machine learning studies as well as provides updated results to task leaders for project management purposes. She also develops reservoir simulation models to investigate CO2 and produced gas storage potential in a variety of geologic formations at the Williston Basin. Ms. Zhao is a Ph.D. candidate and holds an M.E. degree in Petroleum Engineering from UND. She also holds an M.S. degree in Professional Accounting from Deakin University, Australia, and a B.S. degree in Accounting from Beijing City University, China.
Ms. Zhao’s principal areas of interest and expertise include production/injection data analysis, fractured reservoir modeling and simulation, CO2/rich gas EOR in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs, budget analysis and preparation, payroll and accounting management, and workforce arrangement for projects. Ms. Zhao worked with the oil and gas business team at Mott MacDonald Group before joining UND. She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Ms. Zhao has coauthored multiple peer-reviewed and other professional publications.
