Biography
Mason T. Brisben is a Geoscientist at the EERC, where he interfaces with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to assess project uncertainties in oil and gas development and geologic storage. Specific activities include assisting in the development of subsurface geophysical models, performing regional geological characterization, and conducting geotechnical fieldwork. Specific project activities include National Risk Assessment Partnership (NRAP) tool testing for the Plains CO2 Partnership Initiative and geotechnical fieldwork in the Williston Basin. Mr. Brisben holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota.
Mr. Brisben’s principal areas of interest and expertise include CO2 storage and enhanced oil recovery in the Williston Basin with an emphasis on the Bakken, Broom Creek, Inyan Kara, Deadwood, and Red River Formations. Expertise in both geological characterization and reservoir simulation provide unique versatility on complex projects.
