Biography
Merry Tesfu is a Reservoir Engineer at the EERC, where her work involves developing geophysical models of the subsurface and running dynamic simulations to determine the long-term fate of produced/injected fluids, including hydrocarbons, CO2, and brine, using oil and gas industry simulation software. She is currently pursuing her M.S. degree in Energy Systems Engineering at UND and holds B.S. degrees in Geological Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from UND. Prior to her position at the EERC, she served as a Reservoir Engineer independent consultant and as a Petroleum Engineer for Neset Consulting Service, Tioga, North Dakota.
Ms. Tesfu’s principal areas of interest and expertise include unconventional resource development, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), CO2 EOR, CO2 storage, and flow behavior. She has coauthored numerous technical publications.
