Biography
Michael E. Collings is a Principal Process Engineer at the EERC, where his work includes chemical process design and development, process control of pilot-scale systems, syngas storage and distribution, on-demand hydrogen production, hydrogen purification, biofuel production process design and control systems, and operation of high-pressure coal feed test facility and gasification systems. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota.
Mr. Collings’ principal areas of interest and expertise include design of pilot plant systems and controls, pilot operations, emissions control, instrumentation, computerized data acquisition, fluidized-bed combustion, and coal gasification and combustion. In addition, he has coauthored numerous publications.
