Biography
Dr. M. Chrit is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at UND Aerospace. He received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from École des Ponts ParisTech (Paris, France), and holds both an M.S. and an M.E. in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) from ENSEEIHT (Toulouse, France). He is also a FAA-certified Part 107 UAS pilot. Dr. Chrit leads multiple projects focused on advancing autonomy and the safe integration of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the National Airspace System, contributing to the acceleration of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) concept. His current research spans Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, decision-making systems, risk assessment, computer vision, data assimilation, and numerical weather prediction.
