Biography
Dr. Nejma Djabelkhir is a Graduate Student Director for Petroleum Engineering. Previousely, she worked as a Principal Geoscientist in the Geoscience and Engineering group at the EERC, where she collaborates with EERC subject matter experts, principal investigators, and leadership to prepare proposals and pursue new business opportunities and leads and manages projects in the areas of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in conventional and unconventional formations; CO2 and produced gas storage; natural resource management; critical materials resource characterization and recovery; geologic and synthetic materials characterization; produced water management, and the environmental aspects of energy development.
Dr. Djabelkhir holds a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota; an M.Sc. degree in Geological Engineering and a B.Sc. degree in Earth Science and Technology from Houari Boumediene University, Algiers, Algeria.
Dr. Djabelkhir has spent 20 years in the oil and gas industry, most recently as the NExT Learning Content Manager at Schlumberger.
Dr. Djabelkhir’s principal areas of interest and expertise include developing workflows from seismic to simulation, reservoir characterization, enhanced oil recovery, CO2 storage, and log analysis, fracture modeling, and uncertainty analysis. She has coauthored several professional publications.
