Robert Warren

Biography

Robert Warren has over 40 years of experience working in both the public and private sectors.  In the public sector, he has been involved in policy matters ranging from public education financing to determining scientific research and grant funding at the national level.  In the private sector, Warren has held a variety of managerial roles in industries ranging from IT to agribusiness.  He's also an active entrepreneur having been part of eight startups including two television series, an angel group, and a ultra low-cost airline.  He's also created several of his own ventures including the Mean Eyed Cat Venture Labs, that works with companies around the world to bring their products or services to market.  Over the last 30 years, Warren has worked extensively throughout Canada and the US as well as in Mexico, Brazil, Britain, Ireland, France, Israel, China, Philippines, Thailand, and Japan.

Warren has been an educator at the undergraduate and graduate levels since 1994 in the areas of entrepreneurship and marketing.  He's received awards at each of the institutions he's taught at for teaching excellence.  In addition, he's developed programming used for at-risk youth, offenders in custody or part of restorative justice programs, nation building, and counter-insurgency programs.  For his work, Warren has been recognized by numerous groups including the Council for Jewish and Israeli Affairs, International Council for Small Business, and the Canadian Armed Forces.
