Biography
Scott C. Ayash, Director of Research Management at the EERC, leads a team of research managers to support energy and environmental research, report writing, and proposal development. This team oversees and maintains the EERC’s proposal development process and works with other EERC researchers and support teams to ensure that individual research projects are managed effectively. In addition, Ayash works with the EERC’s leadership team to manage the research efforts conducted as part of the State Energy Research Center of North Dakota. Ayash holds a B.S. degree in Physics from North Dakota State University and is a Project Management Institute (PMI)-certified Project Management Professional. Previously, Ayash served as Assistant Director for Research Management, Principal Research Manager, Senior Project Management Specialist, and Research Scientist at the EERC.
Ayash’s Principal areas of expertise include project management, preparing and reviewing client proposals, technical report writing, team leadership, and risk assessment. Research interests and experience include carbon capture, utilization, and storage and the physical processes involved in geologic CO2 storage.
