Biography

Dr. Grave has worked with children and families for over 25 years.  She has worked in schools, homes, and in a variety of community and mental health settings.  She has provided services to individuals with disabilities and mental health diagnoses across the lifespan (birth through adulthood) individually, in small groups, and in large groups/classroom settings in Head Start, Early Head Start, and a range of grades K-12. She has developed curricula for use in Head Start as well as by community mental health providers.  She has taught undergraduate and graduate students in both online and in-person settings, developed and aligned curriculum, and has led teams in accreditation and assessment processes.   She continues to provide training and consultative services to schools, child care providers, and mental health clinicians.  She has written (or co-authored) over one and a half million dollars in grant funding for non-profit organizations and/or public schools.

Dr. Grave holds the following degrees:

PhD in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Higher Education,

M.Ed. in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a

BSSW/Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with concentrated coursework in Gerontology and Psychology. 

Successful grant acquisition and implementation for over $1,800,000 for non-profit organizations and K-12 schools

Assessment and Accreditation Coordination for Special Education Program:  Team lead for State licensing board alignment and reporting, CAEP Initial Standard alignment, InTASC standard alignment, CAEP Advanced standard alignment, and yearly Program Assessment 

Assessment and Accreditation at the College level for ND ESPB approval and CAEP accreditation

Online, in-person, and hybrid course instruction

Graduate and Undergraduate course instruction

Graduate and Undergraduate course development

Advising of Graduate Students, including those seeking initial licensure in other states

Advising Doctoral Students

Accomplished presenter

Inclusion Specialist (birth-school age)
