Tao (Todd) Jiang

Biography

Tao (Todd) Jiang is a Principal Reservoir Engineer at the EERC, where he leads a team of Reservoir Engineers, manages projects and technical tasks that focused on conventional and unconventional oil and gas production, enhanced oil recovery, geological storage of CO2, and commercial carbon capture and sequestration programs development. Mr. Jiang's responsibilities include providing oversight for the research in developing geophysical models of the subsurface and predictive dynamic simulations to determine the enhanced oil recovery performance in conventional and unconventional oil fields, the long-term fate of CO2 sequestration and brine disposal, and evaluate the field injection/production performance.

Mr. Jiang holds an M.A.Sc. degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, and a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Southwest Petroleum University, Sichuan, China. His principal areas of interest and expertise include reservoir and wellbore modeling and simulation, solvent- and CO2-assisted enhanced oil recovery technology development for conventional and unconventional reservoirs, field operation implementation and optimization, pressure and rate transient analysis, reservoir characterization, carbon capture and sequestration.
