Biography
Timothy M. Shenk is a Senior Operations Specialist at the EERC, where he interfaces with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to assess project uncertainties in oil and gas development and geologic CO2 storage. He develops well design, logging, and completion procedures; analyzes reservoir stimulation, injection, and production performance; and facilitates implementation of leading-edge concepts, technologies, strategies, and data applications to improve the performance of CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR), CO2 storage, and unconventional hydrocarbon recovery projects. Mr. Shenk holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University. Prior to his position at the EERC, he served as a Relief Operator – Workover Services at Swanson Energy Services in Williston, North Dakota, after 7 years as a Technical Professional at Halliburton in Williston.
Mr. Shenk’s principal areas of interest and expertise include hydraulic fracture design and implementation, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of fluids and cement, and surface operations.
