Biography
Trevor Waagen (They/Them/Theirs) is a graduate of the University of North Dakota’s Counseling Psychology doctoral program. Trevor received their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of North Dakota. As a clinician, Trevor utilizes emotion-focused and cognitive-behavioral approaches to provide treatment to clients and patients. Trevor has worked in several university counseling centers such as the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, and the University of Texas in Austin. As a researcher, they focus on the qualitative experiences of non-binary and gender expansive individuals. Additionally, they have ongoing research interests in the developmental aspects of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, specifically exploring identity development and formation from a lifespan approach. During their downtime, Trevor enjoys taking their dog Ganon on walks, playing video games with friends, and cooking/baking.
