Biography
Avery joined the UND Counseling Center in August 2025 as a Doctoral Intern. She is currently a Psy.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at Hawai'i Pacific University, where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Avery places an emphasis on the therapeutic alliance, holistic health, and employs collaborative strategies in treatment. She works from an integrative orientation, drawing especially from acceptance and commitment, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic perspectives. Her areas of special interest include eating disorders, sexual trauma, and sports psychology. Avery provides both counseling and assessment services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
During her free time, Avery enjoys puzzles, Legos, thrifting, and spending time with her three cats.
