Biography
I joined the UND Aerospace Academic Support Services team as an Information Technology Support Specialist on August 9, 2021. Prior to that, worked for the East Grand Forks Public School District as a Computer Support Professional providing hardware and software support for classrooms and infrastructure technology as well as supporting district students, teachers and other district constituents as required. From June 2005 to June 2019, I was the University of North Dakota School of Law Systems Administrator. There, I was supervisor of the Computer Services department where I administered the technology needs of the School of Law – managing servers, providing classroom support, providing computer & network services, and maintaining computers & other technology devices for faculty, students, and staff. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences from the University of North Dakota in 2005 and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of General Studies from UND in 2003. I completed my Master of Science in Industrial Technology in May 2010. Prior to returning to school to earn my degrees, I served 16 years in the U. S. Air Force, including service in the Middle East in the Desert Liberty, Desert Storm, and Desert Freedom campaigns to free Kuwait. My wife, Julie, and I live in Grand Forks and enjoy caring for our home and flower gardens. I relax by listening to music (I have eclectic music tastes) and playing my keyboard (although not too well!). Between us, my wife and I have eight kids – all grown up. My hometown is Independence, Missouri.
