Biography
Dr. Lindseth has conducted clinical and behavioral research for over 20 years that has been funded by the DoD Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program, the National Institutes of Health (NICHD, NCRR, and NIGMS), the Retirement Research Foundation, and the Dept. of Health and Human Services - Division of Nursing. Dr. Lindseth also served as the Principal Investigator and Project Director for the NIH-funded Northern Plains Center for Behavioral Research (NPCBR) and the Northern Plains Center for Behavioral Research Translation. Work by investigators within the NPCBR focused on the behavioral health needs of vulnerable underserved populations, including Native American women and children. Dr. Lindseth also has conducted US Army Biomedical Research and Materiel Command funded studies on the behavioral effects of dietary interventions in young adult populations. Both Army studies and a NIH study of pregnant women focused on dietary intake, biochemical and physical activity measures of the study participants. Currently, Dr. Lindseth works with underrepresented college students as the Principal Investigator of a NIH funded MARC U-STAR program at the Univ. of North Dakota.
