Biography
Ian Grande is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership in the Teaching, Leadership, and Professional Practice Department. He also serves the University of North Dakota as the director of the Superintendent Certificate Program and coordinator of the School Leadership Ed.D Program.
Originally from Fargo (ND), Dr. Grande obtained his B.S. in social studies education from North Dakota State University. He completed his M.Ed and Ed.D at the University of Mary (ND). Before joining the University of North Dakota, he served as superintendent/secondary principal for the Hope-Page School District, K-12 principal for Shiloh Christian (Bismarck), and assistant principal for Shiloh Christian. Prior to those administrative roles, Dr. Grande served as an English teacher at Shiloh Christian. Additionally, Dr. Grande served as board president of the Sheyenne Valley Special Education Unit.
Dr. Grande holds an active North Dakota K-12 teaching license in the areas of agriculture, business, communications, computer science, cybersecurity, economics, English, geography, government, history, physical education, psychology, special education (strategist), social studies, sociology. Additionally, he holds an active K-12 principal credential and superintendent credential.
