Biography

Dr. Jesse Lee Rhoades is a Full Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Public Health Education at the University of North Dakota. He is an accomplished scholar in the field of biomechanics and kinesiology, with extensive expertise in human movement analysis, spaceflight mobility, and pedagogical innovation in physical education. Dr. Rhoades' research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, covering diverse topics such as gait mechanics under reduced gravity, motor learning, and complex systems in educational contexts. He has led and contributed to multiple NASA-funded research projects, focusing on astronaut mobility and space suit design, making significant contributions to space medicine and human performance in extreme environments. His teaching portfolio includes a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics, motor development, and research methods. Additionally, Dr. Rhoades has a strong record of mentorship, having supervised numerous graduate students and served on multiple dissertation committees.
