Biography

Katherine's research employs qualitative and mixed methods to understand how digital media influence social inequalities linked to race, gender, and class. She completed her PhD in sociology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she served as a research affiliate with the Center for Information Technology and Public Life (CITAP).

Katherine's work benefits from engagement with scholars in communication and science and technology studies, as well as collaboration with both undergraduate and graduate students.
