Mike Wozniak

Biography

Mike attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for his Bachelors Degree, coaching high school ice hockey and acting as the commissioner of intramural roller hockey as an undergraduate.  Upon graduation, he continued coaching both inline and ice hockey, coaching his high school ice hockey team (Bishop Canevin H.S.) to three consecutive trips to the championship game, and his inline hockey team (Duquesne University RollerDukes) to the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Roller Hockey League (WPACRHL) Championship in 2013.  He then pursued his masters degree in Sport Management from California University of Pennsylvania just outside of Pittsburgh, serving as the Intramural Sports Graduate Assistant during his studies.  He graduated with a 4.0 GPA in 2015.

After graduating, he worked as the Assistant Coordinator for Intramurals and Club Sports at Carnegie Mellon University from 2015-2017, developing trainings and working on-site.  He was then selected to be the Intramural Coordinator for the University of North Dakota in 2017.  In the summer of 2019, he also absorbed the Rock Wall, Recreational Esports, and Youth Program areas and was promoted to the Coordinator of Campus Recreation.  In 2022, he accepted his current position in Student Involvement as the Coordinator of Leadership and Programs, overseeing Student Embassadors, student involvement programming, and the Poolman Leadership Academy.

Mike is originally from the Pittsburgh area, so he is a huge Pittsburgh sports fan.  In his free time, he loves playing hockey, biking, and gaming, especially the NHL series.  He enjoys anime and Japanese culture as well, and has introduced a new sport, Vikingball, to UND.
