Biography
Olusegun S. Tomomewo is an Assistant Professor and faculty member in the Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering & Mines (CEM), University of North Dakota. His expertise encompasses the design, implementation, and optimization of diverse energy systems, including conventional power plants, oil and gas technologies, and renewable energy sources such as biofuels, solar, and wind power. Dr. Tomomewo's work places a strong emphasis on energy conservation, efficiency, and management, with a particular focus on decarbonization strategies through energy storage and hydrogen energy technologies, including electrolyzers and fuel cells. His research aims to advance sustainable energy solutions and contribute to the global transition to a low-carbon future. In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Tomomewo has a keen interest in the economics of energy businesses, project management, and policy implementation. His multidisciplinary approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and economic aspects of energy engineering, making significant contributions to the field and fostering innovation in sustainable energy practices.
