Biography
Rhiannon Vandegrift joined the University of North Dakota's Department of Sports Medicine in August 2022 as an Instructor and Assistant Athletic Trainer. She came to UND after serving as an Athletic Trainer at the University of Minnesota Crookston from August 2021 to August 2022.
In her role at UND, Vandegrift provides healthcare services for the women's soccer and hockey cheer teams and serves as an instructor in the Master of Athletic Training Program.
Originally from Offutt AFB, Nebraska, Vandegrift earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Southern Utah University in 2019. She continued her education at SUU, earning a Master of Athletic Training degree in 2021 while also serving as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Kinesiology and Outdoor Recreation. She later completed a Doctor of Athletic Training degree from Temple University in 2023, along with a graduate certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. Most recently, in 2024, she earned a graduate certificate in Health Administration from the University of North Dakota.
A BOC-certified athletic trainer since 2021, Vandegrift is licensed to practice in North Dakota and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
