Biography
Dr. Tim Silvestri is a Psychologist who earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Lehigh University and completed his psychological residence at the University of Pennsylvania. His areas of expertise include collegiate mental health, performance psychology, prevention, and applied neurophysiology. He has over 25 years of experience assisting students in a range of goals from addressing deep seated clinical concerns to assisting students perform at the highest level.
He has a highly relational style that integrates both empathy and support with scientific explanations for student's presenting concerns (should a student hold a curiosity for obtaining such explanations). His clinical treatment areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, and ADHD. He has taught courses at the graduate and undergraduate level on diversity, theories of counseling, addictions, history of psychology, personality, and sports/performance psychology.
He is licensed in North Dakota (1014P) and Pennsylvania (PS015571).
