Committee Charge

1. Adopt a timetable for the search that will permit the appointment of the AVPF by June 1, 2023.
2. Conduct an active search to attract highly qualified candidates.
3. Evaluate applications and conduct interviews.
4. Present to the VPFO an unranked list of candidates who are the most qualified for selection as the next AVPF for the University of North Dakota.
5. Observe strict confidentiality in the conduct of the search. Any member of the search committee who breaches confidentiality may be removed from the committee.
6. Listen to and have regard for other committee members' views, and understand and appreciate consensus decision making.
7. Promote a diverse candidate pool while abiding by UND and NDUS equal opportunity and non-discrimination guidelines.
8. Serve without predetermined bias for or against any prospective candidates nominated, referred, or discovered in the search process.
