An email signature is your digital business card. It's important to present your email signature in a professional and unified manner, just as you would with your printed business card.

Guidelines

• Use your default outlook font.
• Your name should be set at 10pt or 12 pt for size and bold. Set additional signature content one point size smaller and regular format.
• Text should be left aligned and either black or dark grey on a white background to optimize accessibility.
• To make long signatures easier to scan, separate groups of related information by adding before or after space.
• Do not include a UND logo or insert other images or graphics in an email signature or as a background for an entire message. They increase file sizes, impacting server load and may appear as attachments.
• Follow all UND Writing Guidelines

Additional Messages

• Add additional messages below your email signature, matching the formatting of your main signature.
• Confidentiality clauses and other disclaimers can be added based on position and department needs. Disclaimers used by a unit should be consistent from signature to signature.
• UND’s Land acknowledgment can be linked to or written in full. It cannot be altered in any way.
• Unit taglines or mottos can be included if used by the entire unit and not as individual mottos.
• Personal quotes and inspirational sayings cannot be included in UND signatures.
