UND Bicycle and Personal Electronic Vehicle (PEV) Registration
All UND students, staff and faculty are required to register bicycles and PEVs that are used on campus. Registration is free and can be done online or in person at UND Public Safety – 3851 Campus Road.
To register a bicycle or PEV, the following information is needed:
- Serial number
- Description (make, model and color)
The bike or PEV does not need to be present at the time of registration.
- UND's policy for personal electric vehicles (PEVs), including scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, and electric bikes, was created to address fire and other safety concerns.
- PEVs are subject to impound, at the owner's expense, if found inside UND buildings or are parked, charged, or stored improperly. There is absolutely no charging in campus buildings and PEVs may only be pared in UND bike racks - located at least 20 feet from campus buildings.
- Bikes and PEVs, whether registered or unregistered, are subject to citation and impoundment when violations of storage and/or charging requirements occur.
