First-Class Mail Preparation
All envelopes charged to the same funding source must be banded together with the chartfield barcode (funding code barcode) placed on the top envelope under the return address.
The Mail Center will seal only #10 letter-size envelopes. The envelope flaps overlap one another.
All letter-size envelopes must include the ancillary endorsement "Address Service Requested" or "Return Service Requested". If the addressee has moved and "Address Service Requested" appears on the envelope, the letter will be forwarded and the mailer is charged $.93 for the address correction. If "Return Service Requested" is used, the mail piece will be returned at no charge with the new address information
Mailings of 500 or more pieces
Mailings of 500 or more pieces may qualify for Presorted First-Class Mail rates. Presorted First-Class mail must comply with the USPS Move Update requirement. The preferred method for meeting the Move Update requirement is to verify addresses using specialized address verification software. Please contact the Mail Center for more information about this service.
