UND students, faculty and staff use the Microsoft Office 365 email system provided by the North Dakota University System (NDUS).
Logging Into Your Email
Username
All faculty, staff and students will log in with NDUS.identifier username (typically first.lastname) followed by "@ndus.edu". Your NDUS.identifier is what you currently use to log into Campus Connection, Blackboard and HRMS Self-Service (ex. john.doe@ndus.edu).
Password
Your password will be the same as the other systems on campus, like Campus Connection, Blackboard and HRMS Employee Self-Service.
Email Login Problems?
Your sign-in email address ends with @ndus.edu because your account was created as part of the North Dakota University System (NDUS). This is only used to sign in to your account.
Your email address that you will give out is still NDUS.Identifier@UND.edu (ex: jane.doe@UND.edu). Your UND.edu email address is what you should use for your U Card, business cards, resumes, etc.
Please make sure you are using the correct sign-in email address. Your sign-in email address ends with @ndus.edu.
If you receive an error stating that your account is disabled, please try to clear your browser cache and cookies or try using a different web browser. After clearing your cache and cookies, you will need to completely close out of the browser and reopen it.
A white screen displays after logging in to email. Resolution: This issue happens to users who have previously accessed Outlook.com with that browser. The solution is to clear your browser cache and cookies, and restart the browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to access my Microsoft 365 Apps account via POP3 or iMap?
Unfortunately, for security reasons, POP3 and iMAP are not enabled. We recommend using Outlook.
My email address is listed incorrectly in the UND Directory, Blackboard, or HRMS (Employee Self-Service), what do I do?
If your email address is listed incorrectly, contact UND Tech Support to correct the issue.
Can I change my student email address?
If you have had a name change and would like your email address to reflect that change, the first step is to change your name with the Registrar's Office. Once your name is changed in Campus Connection you may request that your NDUS.Identifier be changed by contacting UND Tech Support. Please note that the identifier change not only impacts your email address but also your Campus Connection, Blackboard, network authentication, and any service that uses your NDUS Identifier.
Can I change my email display name?
Your email display name can only be changed after you have officially changed your legal name with the Registrar's office and have requested an NDUS.Identifier change through UND Tech Support.
I have another email address. Can I forward all student email to that account?
Yes. While you may forward your UND email to another email account, having email lost because of forwarding does not absolve you from the responsibilities associated with communication sent to your official email address. The University is not responsible for handling of UND email by outside vendors or unofficial servers.
What happens to my email when I leave UND?
Students will keep their email account for 18 months after their last class at UND.
