Accommodations for Employees and Job Applicants
UND provides reasonable accommodations to employment applicants and qualified individuals with a disability who need an accommodation to perform the essential functions of their position.
Employee Accommodation Request
To begin the employee accommodation request process, complete a workplace accommodation request form. Please note that you will be prompted to sign in using your NDUS identifier.
- A Human Resources Manager will then begin an interactive process with you and your supervisor to review your request, determine if an accommodation is appropriate under the ADA, and identify a reasonable accommodation(s). An accommodation plan should be reviewed periodically to ensure it still meets the needs of the employee and the workplace and can be changed as often as necessary.
- The HR Manager may need supporting information from your medical provider. All medical information is kept confidential and separate from personnel files.
