Phone Equipment, Features & Rates

Phone Equipment

Analog phone lines are used for desk sets, fax machines, credit card machines, fire alarms, elevators, etc.

  • K2500 Desk Set
  • 2554 Wall Set

Digital phones are used for desk and wall sets, speaker phones, and conference phones (up-to six callers, including yourself). They have a large display screen, are able to be programmed with speed dial buttons, and provide a detailed call log.

  • 2410 Form
  • 2420 Form

VoIP (Voice over IP) phones are used for desk and wall sets, speaker phones, and conference phones (up-to six callers, including yourself). They support Bluetooth®, have easy-to-read screens, and include four contextual softkeys that change based on your current usage.  Currently, the only two VoIP phones available for purchase are the 9608 and 9611.

Expansion modules can be added to either the 2420 digital set or VoIP phone sets to provide an additional 24 programmable buttons with associated display and status icons.

Headsets come in a variety of options: i.e. wired/wireless, monaural/binaural, Bluetooth accessible, etc.

Softphones are a software-based phone set that we can install on your Windows computer.

Phone Features

Activate to a Busy Extension

When you call a number and you hear a busy signal and while hearing the busy signal:

  • ANALOG PHONE: press "Recall", then enter *5, you will hear confirmation tone.
  • VoIP phone: press the button "Auto Callback"
  • DIGITAL PHONE: press the button "Auto Callback"
    • Must have the feature button to use ACB on a VoIP or digital set

Activate to a Non-answered Extension

When you call a number and there is no answer, as the call is going to voice mail:

  • ANALOG PHONE: press "Recall", then enter *5, you will hear confirmation tone.
  • VoIP phone: press the feature button "Auto Callback"
  • DIGITAL PHONE: press the feature button "Auto Callback"
    • Must have the feature button to use ACB on a VoIP or digital set

Answering ACB

When you hear 3 short rings on your phone, answer the call, listen to ringing, wait for answer.

  • If you hear a short busy signal followed by a confirmation tone, the extension you activated ACB to became busy before you picked up the call back. Hang up and the ACB will be reset to active.
  • If you are on another call when you receive the call back, you will hear 3 short beeps, you have 15 seconds to answer the call or ACB will be cancelled.

To cancel ACB

Listen for dial tone enter #55, hear confirmation tone, hang up

  • ANALOG PHONE: Enter #55, you will hear confirmation tone.
  • VoIP phone: press the feature button "Auto Callback"
  • DIGITAL PHONE: press the feature button "Auto Callback"
    • Must have the feature button to use ACB on a VoIP or digital set

To Activate

Listen for Dial Tone, enter *2, hear dial tone, enter number where you want to send your calls, hear confirmation tone, hang up.

To Cancel

Listen for Dial Tone, enter #22, hear confirmation tone, hang up.

To Activate

Listen for Dial Tone, enter *3, hear dial tone, enter number where you want to send your calls, hear confirmation tone, hang up.

To Cancel

Listen for Dial Tone, enter #22, hear confirmation tone, hang up.

From Analog Phone Set

  • Press FLASH/RECALL
  • Press *4
  • Lay receiver down, do not hang up
  • To return held call, hang up receiver or hold switch hook button down
  • Phone will ring 3 short rings
  • Pick up receiver or release switch hook and resume conversation

From 2410 or 2420 digital phone set

  • Press “HOLD” button
  • Lay receiver down or hang up phone
  • To return held call, press button next to HOLD icon
  • Resume conversation

From VOIP phone set

  • Press “HOLD” button
  • Lay receiver down or hang up phone
  • To return held call, press “RESUME” button
  • Resume conversation

To pickup a call from an idle phone

  • Listen for Dial Tone, enter *7, begin talking OR,
  • If feature button is administered, pick up receiver and press call-pkup button, begin talking

To pickup another phone while on a call

  • ANALOG PHONE: While talking
    • press "Recall", hear recall dial tone
    • dial *4, hear dial tone
    • dial *7, begin talking
  • DIGITAL PHONE: while talking
    • press "HOLD"
    • press vacant line appearance
    • press call pickup button, begin talking

To ring your cell phone when your office phone rings

For this feature to work you must have a digital or VoIP phone and have the EC500 feature button.

Activate at Office

  • To activate at your office phone:
    • Press the button labeled EC500
      • your cell phone will now ring
  • To cancel at your office phone:
    • Press the EC500 button

Activate from Cell Phone 

  • To activate from your cell phone
    • dial 701.777.7698
  • To cancel from your cell phone
    • dial 701.777.7699

To extend an office phone call to your cell phone

  • During an active call on your desk phone, press the feature button "Extend Call".
  • Your cell phone will begin to ring, answer your cell phone and do not hang up your desk phone.
  • When the call is established on your cell phone, hang up your office phone.
    • you can now leave your office and continue the call on your cell phone.

Analog phone

• Press #73 – wait for number to be redialed

Digital phone

• Press “REDIAL” button – wait for number to be redialed

VoIP phone

• Lift handset or press speakerphone button
• Press “REDIAL” button – wait for number to be redialed

The Last Number Redial function will not redial an authorization code

 

To Activate

  • ANALOG PHONE: Listen for Dial Tone, enter *8, hear confirmation tone, hang up.
  • VoIP or Digital PHONE: press "Send Calls" button, check mark appears next to button.

To Cancel

  • Listen for Dial Tone, enter #88, hear confirmation tone, hang up.
  • VoIP or Digital PHONE: press "Send Calls" button, check mark is removed.

To transfer a call to another station

  • Analog:
    • while on the call press "Recall" hear recall dial tone
    • Dial transfer to station
    • press "Recall", hang up.
  • Digital PHONE:
    • press "Transfer" button
    • Dial the desired station
    • press "Transfer" button
  • VoIP PHONE:
    • press "Transfer" button
    • Dial the desired station
    • press "Complete" button

To set up a Conference call

Analog

  • while on a call press "Recall" hear recall dial tone
  • Dial third party station
  • press "Recall", converse.

Digital Phone

  • press "Conference" button
  • Dial the desired station
  • press "Conference" button, converse
  • follow above steps to add more people to call*

VoIP Phone

  • press "Conference" button
  • Dial the desired station
  • press "Join" button, converse
  • follow above steps to add more people to call*

*Using a digital or VoIP set you can have six people on a conference call, (yourself and five others)

To transfer a call to their voice mail box

  • Analog:
    • while on the call press "Recall" hear recall dial tone
    • Dial #89
    • press "Recall", hang up.
  • Digital PHONE:
    • press "Transfer" button
    • Dial #89
    • press "Transfer" button
  • VoIP PHONE:
    • press "Transfer" button
    • Dial #89
    • press "Complete" button

  • Student Station (SSTA): $18.50 + tax
  • Extension (EXT): $3.75
  • X-Port (XPT): $15.00
  • Additional Voicemail Box (VM): $5.00
