Jamey Holweger Staff Senator of the Year Award
About The Award
The Jamey Holweger Staff Senator of the Year Award was developed by the Staff Recognition Committee to recognize a Staff Senator who promotes a spirit of unity and pride and represents Staff Senate in an exemplary manner through their vision, enthusiasm, dedication and willingness to volunteer.
Jamey Holweger was a Staff Senator from 2019 until his untimely passing in March of 2024. He was dedicated to Staff Senate and his Senate committee work, where he offered thoughtful insights and a willingness to collaborate on issues that impacted staff across the university. Jamey's passion for serving the UND community was evident in the time and effort he dedicated to representing the voice of staff and advocating for their needs and concerns. In memory of his incredible contribution and dedication to Staff Senate, the award was named in his honor in 2024.
