Gratitude Campaign
The Gratitude Campaign gives participants daily gratitude activities to complete. Researchers suggest that gratitude should be practiced daily.After participating in these activities, participants will feel more comfortable implementing gratitude into their everyday lives. Each day focuses on a different way to show gratitude. Try them all out and see which one(s) you enjoy most!

Level Up Challenge
Building and maintaining new healthy habits take time. Starting small and being consistent is key. Work Well will help motivate you to make daily micro-additions to help you reach your chosen goal. Invite a friend, challenge a coworker, and join us to Level Up and build on the successes of yesterday!
Ready to Level Up?! Have a habit you want to improve on? Maybe you want to build onto your cardio routine, read more books, drink more water, or practice gratitude with self-affirmations. We have several goals for you to choose from, or you can choose your own! Even President Armacost is in on the action!
Wear Red Day
Grab your coworkers and find something RED to wear on the first Friday in February. The UND community is encouraged to show support for heart health in women by wearing red to work and taking a photo to submit online to Work Well.
There are three photo categories to submit your photo in: School Spirit, Wellness, and Most Creative. Photos can be submitted online from 2/1 - 2/13. After the submission period, you have a chance to vote for your favorite photo in each category! Voting is open 2/14 - 2/21. 1st place winners in each category receive a health snack package for their office.
Wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and save lives. Because when we come together, there's nothing we can't do!
Nutrition Bingo
Good Nutrition is our mission! According to myplate.gov, eating healthy is a journey shaped by many factors. No matter your stage of life, food preferences, living situations, access to foods, traditions, cultures, and personal decisions, everything we eat affects our body.
Being able to find your personal healthy eating style and maintaining it for a lifetime can be overwhelming. Work Well can help! Take part in this 4 week challenge to learn about different food groups, proper serving sizes, fun ways to eat healthy foods, and a chance to win prizes! We will give you tips and guidelines aimed to help you make healthy, lifelong food choices the easy choice.
Hydration Challenge
Hey! WATER you up to?! Drinking enough water everyday is good for overall health. As plain drinking water has zero calories, it can also help with managing body weight and reducing caloric intake when substituted drinks with calories like regular soda.
Drinking water can prevent dehydration; a condition that can cause unclear thinking...resulting in mood change, causing your body to overheat, constipation or kidney stones. In fact, the National Hydration Council attributes that 1 in 10 cases of tiredness are caused by dehydration.
Drift Off Challenge
Are you ready to catch some ZzZZzzz's? The CDC estimates that 1/3 of US adults get less than the recommended amount of sleep and roughly 70 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep problems. The Drift Off Challenge helps teach about healthy 'sleep hygiene' through education on how exercise, relaxation, caffeine and technology can help or harm the quality and amount of sleep an individual gets.

Wellness BINGO
We often think about wellness in terms of physical health – nutrition, exercise, weight management, etc., but it is so much more! Wellness is a holistic integration of the seven dimensions of wellness which include physical, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, intellectual, and spiritual wellness.
Knowing where to start and making the right choices can be challenging. During this 4-week challenge, you will fill out your Wellness BINGO card to fulfill all dimensions of wellness.
Get Moving Challenge
Ready to Get Moving!? This challenge is open to UND staff, faculty, students, and friends & family. You can register as an individual or a team. The Get Moving Challenge is a 4-week challenge created to increase your daily activity and social connectedness.
Each week, you will log your steps into the digital step calendar or convert other forms of activity through the Steps Conversion Chart. The ultimate goal is to get you moving MORE!
Winter Wellness Challenge
The winter months are full of cheer & good spirits AND stress, hectic schedules, and overeating. All the extra activities and expectations can throw you off your routine. The Winter Wellness challenge is an opportunity to keep wellness at the top of your to-do list, and the chance to win prizes! You don't have to wait until New Year's to make a resolution to take care of yourself.
Common Cents Challenge
Finances just not making cents? The Common Cents Challenge is a financial wellness program focused on educating participants about the importance of the 5 fundamental areas of literacy (earn, save & invest, protect, spend, and borrow) according to MyMoney.gov. This challenge aims to improve overall financial well-being through various activities and strategies. Participants will complete the challenge with increased confidence in personal finances.
Bike It Challenge
Let's get rollin'! According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), getting regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health! It can help control weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and improve your mental health and mood. That's where the bicycles come in! Biking is a simple way to help reach the CDC's goal of at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week. It's easy on the joints and environmentally friendly! Challenge a co-worker or your department to get those wheels moving.
Wellness CONNECT
Wellness Connect is a Work Well sponsored program geared to build your awareness of the 7 Dimensions of Wellness and how they are interconnected. Grow your base of knowledge on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness and find out which pieces are missing. Construct a Wellness package that works best for you and build your own LEGO® creation by earning building bricks along the way!
