Parking Permits

Parking Enforcement
- Vehicles without a UND parking permit are able to park for a limited time in Passport Parking© located in metered spaces, the parking ramp and the visitor pay lot.
- Permits are valid yearly from August 1 to July 31 of the following year.
- A valid temporary pass must be displayed or a UND virtual permit associated to plate to avoid citations.
- Permits are virtual and are associated to a license plate.
- If no plate is present, the last 8 digits of the vehicle identification number (VIN) should be temporarily used and for the state select "Missing Plate". Once plate is known, add vehicle with new plate information. Email Parking Services to remove old vehicles.
- Parking enforcement is conducted year-round.
- Open parking hours are Monday through Friday 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
- Engelstad Arena events will be enforced and are an exception to the open parking hours.
- UND permit is NOT required, but parking in restricted zones will continue to be monitored/enforced (e.g. reserved, safety concerns, no overnight, time limit zones).
Parking Ramp
The use of UND's Parking Ramp requires pre-payment.
