Parking Permits

A valid parking permit or hourly pay-to-park rate is required to park on campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

UND uses a virtual permit system, which means your license plate acts as your permit – no decals or hangtags are issued by UND for display.

Students, employees and visitors require different parking permits. Review the options below to find the permit that's right for you.

Off-campus student permits will not sell out.

2026-27 Permit Sales

To improve the purchasing experience and reduce wait times, UND Parking Services is dividing customers into three groups. This will help spread traffic across the parking portal and reduce delays.

  • Permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability may vary based on demand.
  • Before permit sales open, log in to the UND Parking Portal to confirm you can access your account and that your vehicle information is current and accurate. If you cannot access the Parking Portal or do not see the permit options you expected, contact Parking Services for assistance.
  • Permit options available to you will be displayed in the UND Parking Portal based on your eligibility. Verify that your current address in Campus Connection is correct and current and that you are registered for classes. Students with incorrect address information or not registered for classes will not be able to see the permits.
  • If your preferred permit is unavailable, purchase one of the remaining available permits and add yourself to the waitlist for your preferred permit. Parking Services will notify you by email if space becomes available and you are eligible for an upgrade.
Permit Type Date
