Other Parking Permits

Daily/Weekly Permits

Not valid in the parking ramp, reserved spaces, meters/time/Passport zones or visitor paylot.

  • All visitors must obtain a parking pass to park on campus Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM
  • Single-day and multi-day passes are available for purchase over the phone or in the office. Passes are $7/day or $30/week. Passes are valid in red A, blue S, green H, and brown A/S/H zones.

Purchase Daily/Weekly Permits

Passes can be purchased with credit/debit card, cash or check. Please call us at 701.777.3551 or stop by Parking Services, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Temporary Special Parking Requests

Temporary special parking requests are available for permit holders only. You'll need to log in using your NDUS username and password (used for CampusConnection, Blackboard, HRMS).

Housing Only Apartment Permit (HOAPT)

All UND apartment areas require a valid UND Apartment permit (HOAPT permit). HOAPT permit that is only valid in your apartment lot. The "APT" permit will allow a resident to park only in his/her designated housing parking lot 24 hours a day.

Residents have the option to purchase an S for students and an A permit for faculty/staff for other parking options around campus. An additional HOAPT permit can be purchased for the vehicle of a non-affiliated spouse or dependent. For additional information regarding parking in the UND apartment areas, please refer to the UND housing.

Handicap Accessible Permits

UND honors state-issued accessible permits for visitors, however, you must also have a UND permit to park in designated handicap spots on campus. Please contact Parking Services to discuss parking options if you are a visitor who wants to park in an accessible space (while displaying a state-issued accessible permit).

Business/Vendor Permit

A Vendor is defined as any person, not an employee, student or contract employee, who provides sales and/or services to the University of North Dakota. Examples: Coke, Pepsi, RBB, Lunseth, and Advanced Business Methods. An annual vendor permit is $200, a weekly permit is $30 and a daily permit is $7.

Contractors, delivery persons and vendors will need to obtain and display a UND "K" parking permit. The "K" permit, is valid in Service Vehicle Zones, "A", "S", "H", and "A/S/H" (brown). After August 16, 2016 all permits are valid utilizing the license plate as a method for tracking.

Purchase Business Permit

Business permits can be purchased on a temporary or annual basis. Bring the completed and signed applications to Parking Services located at the Facilities building.

Retiree Permit

Retired UND faculty and staff are eligible for a yearly UND parking permit at a reduced fee of $12 payment (cash or check).
