Daily/Weekly Permits

Not valid in the parking ramp, reserved spaces, meters/time/Passport zones, or Housing lots.  

• All visitors must obtain a parking pass to park on campus Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Single-day and multi-day passes are available for purchase over the phone or in the Parking Services office. Passes are $7/day or $30/week.
• Passes are valid in the “A” (Red), “A/S” (Pink), and “A/S/H” (Brown) zones at UND. To see where these zones can be located, visit the “Parking Maps” page.  

Purchase Daily/Weekly Permits

Passes can be purchased with credit/debit card, cash or check. Please call us at 701.777.3551 or stop by Parking Services, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Temporary Special Parking Requests

Temporary special parking requests are available for permit holders only. You'll need to log in using your NDUS username and password (used for Campus Connection, Blackboard, HRMS).

Housing Only Apartment Permit (HAPT)

All UND Apartment areas require a valid UND Apartment Permit (HOAPT). HOAPT Permits are only valid within the permit holders designated parking lot as well as the second-car parking spaces located within each Apartment lot. For details on each Apartment complex parking locations, please visit the Apartment Housing Maps page.  

Apartment residents have the option to purchase an “A” or “S” permit (whichever is applicable) in addition to their HOAPT permit. An additional HOAPT permit can be purchased if a non-UND affiliated individual is also listed under your lease (ex. Spouse or Dependent). To purchase an additional permit, please fill out the application listed below and submit it to Parking Services.

Handicap Accessible Permits

UND honors state-issued accessible permits for visitors, however, you must also have a UND permit to park in designated handicap spots on campus. Please contact Parking Services to discuss parking options if you are a visitor who wants to park in an accessible space (while displaying a state-issued accessible permit).

Business/Vendor Permit

A vendor is defined as any person, not an employee, student or contract employee, who provides sales and/or services to the University of North Dakota. Examples: Coke, Pepsi, RBB, Lunseth, and Advanced Business Methods.

Vendor permits can be purchased for the following rates: $225/annually, $30/week, or $7/day. Permit prices are subject to change, annual permits prorate throughout the year.

Contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel will need to purchase a Business/Vendor permit through the UND Parking Services office. These permits are valid in the “A” (Red), “A/S” (Pink), “A/S/H” (brown), and Service Vehicle spaces around UND. To find where these zones are located, please visit the UND Parking Map.

Business permits can be purchased on a temporary or annual basis. Bring the completed and signed applications to Parking Services located at the Facilities building.

Retiree Permit

Retired UND Faculty/Staff are eligible for a yearly UND parking permit at a reduced cost of $12/annually. Please follow the instructions below to purchase this permit.

Return the filled out from to Parking Services one of three ways.

1. 1. Mail - Please include a check payable to UND.
   2. In-person - We accept cash, check or credit card.
   3. Email - Email parking@UND.edu. Make sure to have a contact phone number listed. We will reach out to you when we are ready to collect payment by credit card.
