Working Groups & Steering Committee

Working Group Members

Working groups include four broad-based, cross-functional groups representing key themes central to the planning effort.

Groups provide valuable insight into current and anticipated future uses of UND’s physical spaces and real estate. Through workshops, meetings, and targeted information requests, members share perspectives that help inform the Master Plan team’s analysis, the development of planning options, and the recommendations ultimately considered by the Steering Committee.

Campus leadership assisted in identifying and nominating members to ensure the Working Groups reflect diverse expertise, perspectives, and roles across the university and broader campus community.

The Teaching & Research Working Group focuses on how academic programs and research activities are supported across UND. The group examines current teaching and research practices, space needs, and emerging directions in instruction and scholarship to help inform long-term planning.

Drawing on faculty and staff perspectives, the Working Group helps identify opportunities to better support academic quality, collaboration, and innovation through facilities, policies, and campus systems. Its input ensures that planning recommendations reflect the realities of academic life and can be implemented over time.
